This vitamin rich formula comprises key research-proven nutrients that deliver moisturizing antioxidants to the affected area which include Vitamins A, E and K.

Here’s an overview of what these vitamins are best known for in skin care:

Vitamin E (alpha-tocopherol) is a powerful moisturizing antioxidant which improves skin hydration and protects the delicate skin-cell membranes from oxidation by free radicals.

Vitamin A is widely considered to be among the best skin care ingredients to be found. This vitamin works by binding to receptors in skin cells and in doing so it strengthens the protective function of the epidermis and protects the vital collagen. It also stimulates skin cell regeneration and is included to help restore healthy skin around the affected area.

Vitamin K, which is present in the Thyme Oil, Propolis and Almond Oil in GST also helps to protect the skin’s collagen and is highly beneficial to cell repair and regeneration.

This balanced blend of vitamins are included to promote soft, well-hydrated skin in the affected area.

Active Ingredients:

The pain relief in Herstat GST is primarily provided by the Active Ingredient Camphor, which is included at 3%. Natural Camphor is derived from the leaves and bark of Cinnamomum Camphora tree but it can also be biosynthetically synthesised. Camphor is a highly effective topical pain reliever and is perfect for providing temporary relief of pain and discomfort.

Herstat GST also contains the Active Ingredient Menthol. Menthol contains a range of phenolic compounds such as α-pinene, citronellol, and methyl eugenol. Menthol is included in a wide variety of pharmaceutical preparations and is included in GST for its moderate analgesic properties. It also acts as a natural preservative of the ointment and thus we do not need to use synthetic preservatives within our ointment.

3% Purified Propolis Extract

All Herstat products contain 3% Purified Propolis Extract. Our propolis is all sustainably sourced from the Manitoba region of Canada. We trace all our propolis to source and only obtain our crude propolis from a group of trusted Manitoban beekeepers, who collect excess propolis for us during the honey extraction period. Propolis comprises a range of phytonutrients and in particular an important group of polyphenols, including phenolic acids and flavonoids. These bioflavonoids help preserve the ointment and thus we do not need to include any synthetic preservatives in our preparations. The propolis in Herstat GST also lends the ointment its characteristic and very pleasing aroma.

Causes of genital sores

Genital sores can be caused by the herpes simplex virus. Herstat GST is not a cure for genital herpes and will not eradicate the HSV-1 or HSV-2 herpes virus. If you think you have genital herpes you should consult your doctor. Herstat GST will not prevent an STD. Herstat GST is designed to treat the uncomfortable symptoms of genital sores.

Sores in the genital area can also be caused through various sporting activities, such a cycling, rowing and endurance running. Herstat GST is also an ideal treatment for sports related genital sores.

• • Read the ingredients list carefully to ensure you do not have allergies to any of the ingredients
• • Herstat GST contains Purified Bee Propolis, Thyme Leaf Oil, Eucalyptus Leaf Oil, Almond Oil, Castor Seed Oil, Camphor and Menthol. These ingredients may cause skin irritation to sensitive areas. Test on a small area of skin, prior to use.
• • Do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
• • Herstat GST may damage condoms.
• • Herstat GST is not a cure for Genital Herpes (HSV-2) and will not prevent future outbreaks.
• • Apply to the affected area frequently, every two hours at least 5 times per day.
• • For adults and children 12 years of age and older. Children under 12, consult a doctor or other healthcare professional before use and apply with adult supervision.

Stop use and ask a doctor if:

Condition worsens.

Symptoms last more than 7 days or clear up and occur again within a few days.

Keep out of reach of children. If swallowed, get medical help or contact a poison control center right away.
